At 4PM people might still be at work or picking their kids up from school. 8 PM is right after dinner time and people generally have more time to do what they want. Your auction shouldn’t go more than 7 days because I have noticed that people just lose interest. 7 Days is the sweet spot! I can’t give you a good explanation on why, however, I have experimented with duration and 7 days gave me the best results.
