Congratulations for reading this article. By reading this you are completing your due diligence before joining or or venturing into Melaleuca or any home based internet marketing business. You are reading this because you have been approached by someone telling you that they have made 100,000 to 300,000 dollars online with THE HOTTEST opportunity on the web, and most likely they contacted you through Facebook.

After watching a cheesy 12 minute video on how the economy sucks and you will most likely be next to receive the dreaded pink slip and then they tell how you can Change your life; they still don’t mention the name of the company. Big RED flag when researching an opportunity!

Before I join any company I would at least like to know the name within the first minute. After moving to the second video and a few minutes through, the guy nonchalantly mentions the name, Melaleuca. I spent an hour messaging back and forth on Facebook, signing up for a cheesy webinar, on a cheesy web page with cash floating all over just to find out that Melaleuca Wellness company is online and promoting its products. Awesome.

Unfortunately the way I was approached, a personal message through my Facebook account, to check out the latest money making product on the internet was not impressive, personal, or in my opinion a professional way of marketing on Facebook or the internet PERIOD.

Facebook is used to create GENUINE relationships among like minded professionals and friends. After researching the guys who sent me the initial message on Facebook, I found NO information on Melaleuca, and no information on the gentleman personally, (besides a copy & pasted list of highly recommended books to give them a professional look).

After Reviewing the Melaleuca website I do believe that it is a very viable opportunity with products that claim to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle. In no way do I believe Melaleuca is a scam, the wellness company has been in business since 1990. Either way with the company, to create a massive income you will have to pester and bug your family, friends, and neighbors to join and get a solid team built well over the 100s. It’s just the truth.

Facebook is designed to build and endure lasting relationships, not to spam people with information on a wellness company like Melaleuca. Business partnerships derive from Facebook ONLY after two or more people have connected based on a mutual interest for each others PROFILE/PERSONAL information. Then after an initial relationship has been created would one person invite the other to join an opportunity. -Read with suspicion when your new friend on Facebook sends you a “to good to be true offer.”

IF, and I repeat….IF…the gentleman who contacted me had invested some time to get to know me and start a relationship I would be more open to the opportunity with Melaleuca. I am a fitness lover and am dedicated to eating and living healthy, However because I feel a bit violated and pushed into the opportunity based on the marketing strategies, I have been compelled to write this article.

Ultimately if anyone is truly COMMITTED to making a comfortable income from home and “living the dream life” (this takes hard work and dedication) I believe they can with Melaleuca or any other home based business for that matter, but ONLY with proven marketing strategies and tactics used by industry leaders and professionals

Proven marketing methods such as Pay Per Click, SEO and article marketing, and HONEST and TRANSPARENT Socail Media Marketing strategies that are not spammy is the only way to generate endless leads and phone calls from like minded people knocking on YOUR door to join your business, Melaleuca or not.

Overall the marketing strategy that is being used by Melaleuca’s affiliates to send pre-fashioned email messages through Facebook to sign up and watch a cheesy (yes I did say cheesy again) webinar seems a bit tacky. By utilizing the tactics they are suggesting you will ruin your Facebook image and make it more difficult for yourself to create a home based business since Social Media is becoming mainstream in today’s social and economic market.
