Most ads have 1 line for the headline, 2 lines for the body, and 1 line for the close. This is just not enough room to convince someone to buy so I don’t suggest trying to close a prospect. 2) They have a good headline
Remember above I said that there is usually 1 line for the headline. This is usually in bold print and is the first thing that a prospect sees before reading the rest of your ad. When creating your headline, you will want to put the most appealing aspect of your product in your headline so that it can encourage your reader to learn more.
One thing that you may want to consider doing is making a “T-chart” list of features and benefits. Make a list of all the features of your product and for every feature that you mention, make a separate and opposite benefit for it. After you have created a list of benefits, take a look at them and select the most appealing benefit of them all. This is what you want to include in the headline of your classified ad.
Headlines are absolutely critical to your success when it comes to creating classified ads. A headline can be the difference between an ad that is successful and an ad that doesn’t work.
